Clinical excellence: bringing acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to Buffalo, NY
Acupuncture is a key therapeutic system within Chinese medicine that utilizes the strategic stimulation of points of the body known to have therapeutic significance. Gentle use of filament (extremely fine), sterile, single use/disposable needles in accordance with clean needle technique and universal medical precautions.
Acupuncture is known to be safe and effective when conducted by a properly trained and licensed practitioner. While some discomfort is possible in any medical care, acupuncture is not meant to be painful or difficult.
Patients most often report experiencing a renewed relationship with their body, reduction in pain, increased energy and vitality and a discovered sense of peace after their first treatment. In conjunction with acupuncture, other aspects of Chinese medicine such as moxibustion (a type of heat therapy), cupping (think Michael Phelps) and Tui Na (Chinese medical massage) are utilized when at the discretion of practitioner and patient. Acupuncture consults may be scheduled separately from or in conjunction with dietary therapy and or Chinese herbal medicine consults.
